Ham Radio Licensing Class to be Held in Tuscaloosa

The West Alabama chapter of the American Red Cross, Tuscaloosa County EMA, and the WAARS Radio Club will be hosting a series of classes that will allow members of the public to learn how to operate Ham radios and obtain a Ham radio technician license. Classes will be held every Thursday night from April 14, 2016 to May 19, 2016. Each class will last approximately an hour and a half, from 6:30 to 8:00 PM. Classes will take place at the local Red Cross office, located at 1622 Lurleen Wallace Boulevard, Northport, 35476. Following the conclusion of the classes, a licensing test will be held on Friday, May 20, 2016 in the Faucett Room at DCH Northport Hospital.
